Herbal Recipes - Ever Feel on Edge? Suffer from Panic or Anxiety Attacks? Try These Herbal Remedies to Restore your Equilibrium!

I have been collecting Herbal recipes and various home remedies for quite a few years now and since starting Aloe Vera Guide I have spent many hours rummaging through note books for various home remedies and alternative cures that I had written down over the years.

I was quite pleased therefore, when I happened upon a note book that I had completely forgotten about and found some more of my collection of herbal recipes and alternative remedies, so thought I would share them with my visitors as they may prove beneficial to anyone who may be going through a rough patch, which is why I used to use them myself.

If you ever feel on edge or suffer from panic or anxiety you could do a lot worse than to use some of the recipes I have listed below. I will start with two herbal tonics that you should sip slowly.

I call the first one my stress buster and to make this you will need:

1 tablespoon of dandelion
1 tablespoon of nettle tops
1 teaspoon of fresh blackcurrant leaves
1 teaspoon of borage leaves
600ml or 1 pint boiling water

Soak the ingredients in the boiling water for approximately five minutes, then, strain and drink for an extra experience add a little honey and a dash of lemon.

If you feel that your nerves are all over the place or experiencing mild depressiontry this one:Brew 2 teaspoons of dandelion and 1 of basil in 600ml of boiling water and sip slowly; in no time you will feel a warm and calming mood settling within.

Another home remedy I got from a friend is really good to take just before you go to bed as it is warm milk with a teaspoon of honey and dash of cinnamon. It will relax you and help you to drift off to sleep.

Ever find yourself feeling tense and unable to cope, try this soothing herbal tea remedy:

100g Lapsang Souchon tea
25g each of camomile flowers, hibiscus blossoms, lime flowers and marigold flowers
15g each of both vervain and peppermint leaves
1 teaspoon of fenugreek seeds (whole)
100g Lapsang Souchon tea

The ingredients should be all mixed together and kept in a dark airtight container.

When required use 1 teaspoon to 300mls boiling water in your teapot leave to draw or infuse for five minutes then strain and serve with sliced lemon and honey (optional). This brew is very relaxing and really does calm the spirit and soothes the nerves, as well as settling an upset stomach and promoting more clear decision making abilities. Take two cups a day, one in the morning and one at night before bed to maintain an on going feeling of well being.

To conclude, I hope some of my visitors will find these recipes useful, having used them at various times, I can only speak from my own experience and they certainly helped me to relax and de-stress.

All that is left for me is to thank you for visiting herbal recipes and if you have found the information on our Aloe Vera Guide site helpful, we hope that you will return periodically to check for updates to the site.
