How Herbal Nutrition Supports
Your Health And Well-Being

Herbal nutrition plays an important role in my everyday life. As I have already mentioned elsewhere on the site, I do not only take aloe vera products but also various other herbal supplements to help with my general health and nutrition.

I take them to work with me, I take them on holiday with me, to be honest, I never leave the house for the day without ensuring that my handbag contains my various pills and potions.

Each one of these products have a specific function and I can categorically state that they all improve my general well-being.

I will admit that some of my friends laugh when after a meal out, I open my bag and proceed to wash down various remedies with whatever liquid is closest to hand, which often turns out to be a glass of red wine. However, red wine is supposed to be good for you, so I do not see that as a problem.

All the herbal nutrition products I use have a specific area of my health targeted.

There is a particular remedy I use for antioxidant purposes. This preparation contains amongst other ingredients an exclusive blend of rosemary extract.

If, like me, you often miss meals or eat irregularly, travel long distances every day for work purposes, or become exposed to fumes or other chemicals and toxins, then, your body is vulnerable to becoming swamped with free radicals.

Free radicals weaken our immune systems and as a result we become susceptible to every passing bug and virus.

So if you find that you get sick easily but take ages to recover from illness and infection then you should try to increase your intake of antioxidant rich foods, like fresh fruit and vegetables and supplement your diet with a good antioxidant. This will assist in the defence against the damage that free radicals can do to your body.

For those of you who may be interested, an antioxidant is a nutrient which can disable free radicals. They act as an internal security system to reduce cell damage.

During the metabolic processes in the body, free radicals are produced as a normal by product of oxidation. As the build up of free radicals can damage healthy cells, the body uses antioxidants to get rid of the free radicals.

Needless to say, with herbal nutrition you can support your health immensely.

I also use another preparation which I refer to as the cheaters pill. I take this after I have indulged myself by eating a real no no, like cheese cake or something equally as naughty.

This product contains natural fibre, as well as other ingredients which assists the body in the emulsification of fats for digestion. This combination of ingredients helps speed up the digestive process and as a result the fat is eliminated before it can be absorbed.

I think most people nowadays are aware that fibre is an essential part of a healthy diet as it keeps our systems regular and can aid in the prevention of diseases like bowel cancer.

Experts recommend that we should consume 25 to 35 grams of fibre daily. However, modern diets probably only provide around 12 to 15 grams. I have learnt that in order to get the recommended 35 grams in a day, I would have to eat approximately 25 slices of wholemeal bread.

For me, I think taking a high fibre supplement a couple of times a day is far more rational.

Herbal diet products have helped me to lose weight. And of course, all the supplements I use are natural and safe.

So, herbal nutrition has become an important part of my life, just like aloe vera.
