As well as the special multi-vitamin I use which boosts my energy levels, I drink herbal tea. This is not just any herbal tea. This is a green tea preparation which contains special herbs that soothe the digestive tract and assists the body to burn up excess calories. I have a very slow burn, in other words I tend to store excess fat very easily, I have found this tea has definitely increased my body’s ability to burn off the excess food I sometimes indulge myself with. Chocolate is still a source of irresistible temptation for me. This drink, also adds to my daily water intake and helps to ensure that dehydration is avoided. Every cell in the body is dependent upon a generous supply of water for proper function. Dehydration, for example can cause headaches. Whenever I feel a headache coming on, I will drink two or three glasses of cool water before I consider using a headache tablet. Nine times out of ten, the headache will fade away shortly after I have consumed the third or fourth glass of water.
Like many other people, I often experience a sudden drop in my energy levels during the day, usually between two in the afternoon and four o’clock. I have actually caused much amusement amongst colleagues by falling asleep during a talk being given by one of the Directors of the company, where I am employed. As a matter of fact, my colleagues got to the point, where every time we all had to attend a meeting, or go on a training course, they would take bets amongst themselves as to how long I would last after lunch before falling asleep. Well I have spoilt all their fun, as I now take a herbal supplement that keeps me awake, alert and most importantly my ability to concentrate is restored. I use these herbal energy boosters daily, so I no longer experience these slumps in my energy levels.
