Black Coffee and Hard Boiled Eggs! YUK

After my third pregnancy during which time I had put on over 40lbs in weight, I was really struggling to lose all the extra fat. I tried all sorts of diets and even took to running around a nearby park every day but I just could not seem to shift much of the weight.
The worst day of my life at the time was about 4 months after my baby had been born and I bumped into a friend who took one look at me and said "I can't believe it, haven't you had that baby yet?"
As you can imagine I just felt I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me, anything rather than admit that I had in fact had my baby. I went home and cried for hours needless to say. After that espisode I really made up my mind that I did not care what I had to do but I was going to lose the weight.
I happened to mention to another friend what had happened and how I felt about it and she advised me to go on a hard boiled egg and black coffee diet. Well as I said I was so desperate I would try anything so if it had to be hard boiled eggs and black coffee then I would have to do it.
I did this diet for two weeks, I cannot begin to tell you how disgusting it was but I stuck with it like a terrier with a bone. My husband needless to say was not very impressed as after a few days on hard boiled eggs and black coffee you could drop a man at 50 yards with the bad breath eating like this gives a person.
As I said however, I did persevere with it and I would like to say that it did not work as I now know it is a very unhealthy method but after about 4 days my fat did start to move, which of course, did give me the huge amount of motivation I needed to continue with the diet. By the end of the two weeks I had lost approximately 15lbs.
After the two weeks I went back to eating proper food but I was careful to have only healthy fresh vegetables and salads and I then carried on with my running and finally after another three months I got back down to my normal size.
It is not a diet I would really recommend to anyone else but it did work for me in that because it shifted that first 15lbs, I got the motivation to carry on on a more sensible diet and I don't think I would have succeeded otherwise as I really believe that in order to have the staying power with any weight loss method you do need to see some weight shift in the early stages otherwise you lose the will to carry on.
