Buying From Us

Our product is offered for sale to the UK, European Union member states and the USA only. We regret we do not deliver to countries outside of these areas.

EU and US orders will attract delivery and packaging charges of £2.25 per unit. However, for orders greater than one unit a reduced charge of 0.75p per unit will be payable on all units ordered in excess of one. Please contact us before ordering multiple units so that we may provide you with details on how to make your payment.. If placing an order from the US please note that we are not responsible for any extra charges or issues/penalties arising from the customs & excise laws of your country. It is best to contact your local customs & excise department to determine whether or not you will be required to pay any import fees or in case of any other issues which may arise if you purchase this product from outside your country.

We are not responsible for refunding or replacing orders which may be confiscated by government agencies as a result of a breach of your local import laws.

You can purchase the product from our website. Please allow 1-2 days for your order to be processed and a further 2-3 days for shipping.

The unit price quoted on this website is ex delivery which is chargeable at cost according to the weight and urgency of your purchase. We tend to use Royal Mail for smaller orders since this is usually the most cost effective service for our customers. The price quoted online does not constitute an offer and may be amended at anytime at our discretion. The Aloe Vera Guide operates as a sole trader VAT is therefore not applicable on our product currently.

All purchases are shipped once funds have cleared our account.

Our preferred payment method for online transactions is PayPal which affords both us and you the best security for online transactions (in our opinion) and also offers a high degree of protection for online buyers who have a PayPal account. However, you do not need to have a PayPal account to buy from us. PayPal supports all major credit and debit cards whether you have an account with them or not.

Returns Policy

By law, we are required (and happy) to offer a 7 day returns policy. Any claim that the product has been delivered damaged, or is not of the correct quality according to its description must be notified by the customer to the company in writing within 7 working days of receipt of the product.

Provided that the product has been stored correctly, we will offer a full refund. Correct storage is the customer's responsibility. Advice on correct storage is provided upon on request.

It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the product is appropriately used. All representations, warranties, conditions or terms relating to fitness for purposes, are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law and the company accepts no liability. We accept no responsibility for wrongful purchase.

Shipping

- We currently apply a standard shipping tariff (temporarily suspended) for UK mainland orders (see below). For European Union and United States orders separate shipping charges apply (see above for these charges which we may change at any time).

To keep delivery costs as low as possible, for UK mainland orders we normally use Royal Mail packet delivery service which normally takes 3 days to be delivered. We also use other mainstream couriers for more urgent orders. If you require next day delivery or something sooner than 3 days please call us on 01493 701461 to let us know. All shipping is charged at cost price according to order weight.

From time to time the Royal Mail amends its pricing schedules. We reserve the right to amend shipping charges without notice. Customers will be notified of any change to delivery charges before their order is accepted.

International Shipping Charges

Paypal enables us to provide automatic postage calculations for the UK, however, automatic postage calculations do not extend to international destinations. There is likely to be an additional delivery surcharge on international orders above the UK postage rate quoted in your order. We will notify you via email of this additional charge before your order is processed and how to pay this additional (small) premium.

Quality Control

The Bakewell Soap Company (Manufacturer & Suppliers) to (The Aloe Vera Guide of the Aloe Shack handmade soaps) holds valid assessments for the product it sells in accordance with Cosmetics Safety Regulations 2004 compliance.

To maintain good manufacturing practices and quality control we hold on file a record of all product batches manufactured including the methodology employed and data on raw materials used.

Animal Testing

The Bakewell Soap Company (Manufacturer & Supplier) to (The Aloe Vera Guide of the Aloe Shack handmade soaps) does not test any of its products on animals, and does not use ingredients that are tested on animals. All of our suppliers are required to supply us with their own animal testing policies to ensure that our supply chain meets with current EU legislation on animal testing.
