There are many natural cancer treatments or alternative remedies as they are sometimes called but most of us, myself included, become so fearful and intimidated when we receive a cancer diagnosis that we are unable to digest this information and then set about trying to decide where we go from this point.

I have come to believe that natural cancer treatments have much to offer and wish that I had known about them myself when I was diagnosed with breast cancer all those years ago. I know that as things go I am very lucky to still be here after 20 years plus however, cancer being what it is you never really get over it in your head so to speak.

Every little bump or discolouration tends to send me straight to my doctor and despite the amount of time gone by since I was diagnosed and treated, the fear still has not left me. As I know from first hand experience that cancer is a very frigtening sickness to be diagnosed with I do think it helps to try and take some control over what treatments you undergo or agree to having.

To this end therefore, it can only be beneficial to educate yourself about the various methodolgies and alternative possibilites that are available although main stream medicine will not go out of their way to inform you about them, so you need to undertake this type of research yourself and not just be dominated by your doctor's opinions on what you should be doing.

This approach will also help you to feel that you are taking an active role in your treatment which should give your self-confidence a boost at a time when it is probably quite low.

For my own peace of mind I have already implemented many changes into my lifestyle to ensure that I keep a recurrence of the disease away and by simply taking that action; it has given me a sense of empowerment as well as reducing my fear factor quite significantly.
