Is your Body Killing You? Do You Need to Lose Weight?
Do you need to lose weight? Do you sometimes feel that your body is trying to kill you? Okay, that may sound a bit like the panic over the ‘sky is falling in’ with Chicken Little and his friends. However, unlike their ‘sky is falling in’ crisis, your body really could be seriously ruining your health and well being.
I know that it is probably not what many overweight people want to hear because deep down they already know it. Human nature being what it is however, always likes to take the easiest option, so lots of people take on the ostrich mentality and bury their heads in the psychological sand.
Once there we all know that the problem or issue to be dealt with has now gone away permanently, so we do not thank nosy parkers who come along shouting about it from the roof tops.
That said, most overweight people really do want to lose weight but either lack the self discipline to follow a diet on a long term basis or are afraid to start on a healthy diet because they do not believe it will work for them.
Even if a particular diet programme has worked for their closest friend or neighbour, they convince themselves that they cannot do it and even if they tried, it would not work for them because they would probably not be able to stick to it; or it would make them feel ill or a thousand and one other reasons, why it would be a waste of time to try.

Well it can be done, I know because I have done it myself but it took a long time to find the right kind of healthy eating programme that suited me and my lifestyle.
Therein, of course lies the secret of successful weight loss and it will work for anyone as long as they find a method that can be incorporated into their day to day lives.
Most diet programmes will work as long as you follow the guidelines. It goes without saying therefore, that whatever plan or programme is chosen it has got to fit into the individual’s lifestyle to a large degree.
Now, I am not saying that some self control and personal responsibility is not needed as well. However, if, for instance, someone lives a hectic lifestyle, in as much, as they are working fulltime, attending business meetings in the evenings or whatever, they need something that they can follow easily and a plan which allows them to carry on their working lives while still following their healthy eating programme.

It would be a bit difficult to be having to count calories or weigh food portions when you only have five minutes to grab something to eat before you are supposed to be in a sales meeting or some other work based activity.
The answer to this problem is to find a good healthy eating plan that suits you and your lifestyle, which will of course help you to lose weight.
If you are a young Mum at home then you would need something that would fit into this scenario. I am sure you have the drift by now. Not every programme suits everyone. One size does not fit all in this respect, however there are a few constants, such as your choice of healthy fruit and vegetables as against the easy options high in refined sugars etc.
There are thousands of good programmes around, find one that suits you and stick with it. Ensure you eat lots of fruit and vegetables, drink 6 to 8 glasses of water each day.
More Information on How to Lose Weight
Did you know that many times when you think you feel hungry you are, in fact, actually thirsty and if you drink a glass of good plain water, within a few minutes your hunger will subside. Try it and see for yourself.
Another tip which will help to control hunger, is to increase the amount of protein you eat. Protein is digested slowly and therefore you will be able to cut out snacking between meals more easily as you will not feel hungry as quickly in between meals, doing this will help you to lose weight.
The higher your intake of bad carbohydrates, refined foods, the more rapidly you start feeling hungry after you have eaten. This is because these bad foods raise the levels of sugar in your body; as soon as these levels drop, your body starts to feel hungry again and the circle goes around endlessly.
On a final note, if you think your body is trying to kill you, don’t you think you should start to fight back? You can lose weight and improve your health if you find the right programme that meets your special needs and once you have found a way to lose weight that meets your needs, you will be successful.
