Growing Aloe Vera Plants on Your Windowsill!!

Growing aloe vera plants is easy and because they are a hardy plant, you do not need to be an expert gardener.

I have managed to keep my aloe vera plant alive and healthy, which is an achievement, as I am the kind of person it seems, that normally, only has to look at a plant and it appears to wilt and die instantly.

The aloe plant grows quickly and produces reddish orange flowers during warm summers. Seeds should be sown in pots of moist peat/sand mix compost, then placed in a warm place or a propagator and kept at a constant temperature between 20-25C.

Once the plants are large enough, you will need to transplant them into pots of about 3“ in diameter. Increase the size of the pots as they get bigger and keep them indoors in a spot where there is light and good ventilation.

My own aloe vera plant is growing rapidly on the counter near to my kitchen window.

In the summer if the weather is warm, the experts say, they can be put out into the garden. However, I keep my own inside as I worry that a sudden drop in temperature may have an adverse effect on the plant. Growing aloe vera plants could not be simpler so, even if you do tend to be a bit like me and all the other plants you have tried to grow have withered and died, you will find that growing aloe vera plants is much more rewarding.

There is really not much you can do to cause any damage to the plants other than over watering them in the winter, which could cause them to die.

At home with the kids? Fancy being a work at home Mom? See how others are doing it and how you can as well.
